Stephen Callahan

Steve is a practicing Physician Assistant in the surgical ICU at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. He has 6 years of experience as a Critical Care Physician Assistant. Steve is also a member of the Society for Critical Care Medicine and is an instructor for the Fundamentals of Critical Care Support Course. In addition, he recently published a comprehensive chapter on central venous catheter placement in an ICU procedure book.

Steve began his medical career as a combat medic in the Army National Guard. While in the National Guard, he provided emergency medical care throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. His experiences in the National Guard inspired him to continue his career as a physician assistant.

Steve completed his Physician Assistant studies at the University of Florida where he graduated with honors.
