Paul Thorn

Paul is a practicing Internal Medicine Physician Assistant in Rockville, Maryland. He has been in practice since 2003, with experience in both adult and pediatric comprehensive care. Before working in the Washington DC area, he spent several years working as a clinician in medically underserved areas in the state of Georgia as a member of the National Health Service Corps.

Paul got his start in medicine as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician at the BCC Rescue Squad in Maryland. He also spent several years working at George Washington University Hospital as an emergency room and hyperbaric medicine technician and has experience with chronic wound care and treatment of barotrauma.

Paul has an extensive travel history, having grown up in Jakarta, Indonesia and Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has also lived and worked in Cairo, Egypt and Eilat Israel, working in biological laboratories in both cities.

Paul received his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and completed his Physician Assistant degree at George Washington University in Washington D.C. He is board certified by the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
